AES operates as a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and conducts certain services that may involve obtaining or verifying motor vehicle record information governed by the federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA).
Protecting personal and consumer information is fundamental to our operations. AES adheres to the FCRA, the DPPA, and all other applicable federal and state laws governing consumer reports, employment screening, driver information, and the handling of personal information.

- other identifiers required to complete the background check

Third-party service providers receive only the information needed to perform their role and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose. AES requires commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information shared with third parties.
AES does not sell personal information.
International Transfers
AES does not transfer personal consumer information outside the United States or its territories, except in cases where such transfer is necessary to complete a criminal record check or verification of employment, education, reference, and/or professional license located outside of the United States or its territories. If an international search or verification is required, information may be transferred to an overseas source solely for that purpose and under strict confidentiality conditions.

AES does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
